I'm just cerious as to who here may know of who both of those women are. Eleanor of Aquitaine is an ancestor of Katharine Hepburn. Then it is possible that Mary Queen Of Scots 3rd husband James Hepburn may also be an ancestor of Katharine Hepburn's. What's so cool about it is there was a movie called The Lion In Winter in which Katharine Hepburn played Elealor of Aquitaine in it and she played Mary Queen Of Scots in a movie called Mary Of Scotland.

Yes And Mrs Hepburn Won an oscar for her portrail of Elanore Of Aquitaine In The Lion In Winter in March 1969 though it was a tie between her and Barbara Streisand for her role as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl which also won her a tony in June 1965

Actually to Correct myself from the post above it was April 14th 1969 not March and Hepburn & Streisand only ended in a tie for best actress that evening because Streisand had voted for herself

an Oscar Statutette is 13 1/2 inches tall is made from the alloy britannium and is then plated in copper, nickel silver, and finally, 24-karat gold and is manufactured by R.S. Owens and Company In Chicago and weights 8 pounds 8 ounces mimicing the weight of some Newborn babies

only five actress have won or nearly won an oscar while Pregnant in the history of the ceremony

Those being
Eva Marie Saint Best Supporting Actress 1954 awarded 30 march 1955
Joanne Woodward Best Actress 1957 awarded 26 March 1958 {6 weeks after she'd lost Her first child}
Shirley Jones Best Supporting Actress 1960 Awarded 17th April 1961
Patricia Neal Best Actress 1963 Awarded April 13th 1964
& Meryl Streep Best Actress 1982 Awarded April 11th 1983

of the four of those five that had the children they were expecting when they received their oscars 2 had boys and two had girls

Eva Marie had a Boy Named Darrell Hayden two days after she won her oscar april 1st 1955
Shirley Had her second of three Sons 8 3/4 months later Named Patrick born Janurary 4th 1962
Patricia had her 4th child a daughter 29 days later May 12th 1964 Named Ophelia Magdelina Dahl
& Meryl Had her 2nd Child first Daughter 3 3/4 months later August 3rd 1983 Named Mary Willa Gummer also appeared on the oscars expecting when she'd won best supporting actress in 1980 and when she was nominated for best actress in out of Africa On 24th March 1986 and Post Cards From The Edge on March 25th 1991 1980 was with her son Henry 1986 was with Her Second Daughter Grace Jane birthdate unkown and on March 25th 1991 nearly 6 1/2 months pregnant with her youngest daughter Louisa Jacobson Gummer Born 12th June 1991 aged 42}
